For example, a government, corporation, or other powerful special interest will create and infiltrate online media “fronts”—inside organizations as large as Wikipedia—to manipulate support for their cause. It will appear as an “organic” outgrowth of support from regular individuals… but it’s controlled by special interests underneath it all.
