From Amanda Carden, quality assurance manager, PBRG:

Every so often (like in today’s mailbag, below), we hear from a subscriber who is having trouble logging into our website. We understand how frustrating this can be, especially when you want to access our latest issue or essay. Our website uses the latest security, so most of the time, the issue is resolved by deleting the cookies on your computer.

What are cookies and why do you have them on your computer?

Cookies are small, encrypted text files stored in your browser. When cookies are enabled and you have them on your computer (which happens as a result of visiting websites), every time you click on a link, your computer will take you back to the same website it last visited with that Web address. Now, if a website is updated often, as ours is, this can cause a problem with being able to log in.

For instructions on how to delete the cookies on your computer, click here. Locate the Web browser you use and follow the instructions. If you still have trouble after doing this, please call us at 888-501-2598. We’re open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. EST. You can also send us an email by clicking here.
