Mark Ford: An essay after my own heart… almost

From Mark Ford, founder, Palm Beach Research Group: It’s wonderful to read an essay like this.

It’s the crystalized wisdom of someone who’s not only accomplished a great deal in life—but has also spent decades thinking about it.

Doug Casey is a rare bird. A highly intelligent and rigorously independent thinker with a huge and humorous heart.

He’s also a longtime friend… and I don’t use that word lightly. (I hate it when I see writers describing mere acquaintances as friends.) We’ve had, over the past 30 years, a dozen or more amazing, eye-opening, heart-pounding, side-splitting conversations about the challenge of making one’s way through life.

And although I don’t agree with two of the statements he makes in this essay, I’m wise enough to know I might be wrong and he might be right.

If you can correctly guess which two ideas I don’t agree with, I’ll send you a free copy of my new book, How to Speak Intelligently About Everything That Matters. Send me your answers, here.
