From Mike S.: Wonderful essay by James Altucher in the March 13 Daily (10 Reasons to Quit Your Job)! The email arrived in my inbox on the one-year anniversary of when I quit my job.

While James wasn’t the one who convinced me to quit, his points reinforced my thinking that I made the right decision. I finally realized I needed to stop working to make other people rich and making their dreams come true (the company owners, essentially).

It’s slow going at first (as I explore this new freedom and build financial independence), but the Wealth Builders Club is helping. It’s already been worth it—I wouldn’t trade the time I’ve been able to spend with my family for anything else. Thanks again for sending this essay.

From Sean R.: Bravo! James Altucher hits the nail on the head. He took all of the words out of my mouth. I preach this to friends, family, and even some of my top employees regularly.

I have been “unemployable” for 20 years, and I can promise you that his 10 Reasons are spot on. I was very fortunate to have worked for “Satan’s Daughter” for two years, and it changed my life. I received the company’s top percentage raise in 1991… only 2%. (I’m pretty sure inflation may have been a little higher back then.) I decided that I never wanted to have a job or a boss again, so I said, “That’s it, I quit.”

I quit and went back to school. My boss was shocked… She thought she had me on a chain forever.

The rest is history. I’ve been an entrepreneur ever since with a handful of great companies, restaurants, service companies, etc., and I’m not going back.

I encourage everyone in this great Palm Beach Research Group family to read James’ words again. He speaks the truth.

From David R.: Last May, I quit my job at age 59, after a young manager called me out on a conference call. I’m free at last, happy, and financially secure.

Now I generate income through the PBRG’s Palm Beach Current Income, Jump Point Trader, Mega Trends Investing, and real estate (Justin Ford’s C.A.P. Strategy). Thanks, PBRG, for your guidance and perspective. I don’t feel like a number anymore.
